The Trials and Tribulations of HIV Prevention Research
We've long known how to protect ourselves from HIV, but the options are limited and not available to everyone. While science is unlikely to yield any silver bullet solutions, new prevention technologies like vaccines and microbicides could provide some additional weapons.
Campaign for Microbicides
The UK Campaign for Microbicides was established in September 2002 as a coalition of British-based NGOs working together towards the widespread global access and use of microbicides for the prevention of STIs, including HIV.
Lubricant survey - Rectal Microbicides
The International Rectal Microbicides Working Group (an affiliate of the Global Campaign for Microbicides) needs people from all over the world to participate in their survey of lubricants used for anal sex.
