NAHIP will enable Africans to access appropriate information and services to equip them to make informed sexual health decisions, to fight stigma and influence change with the aim of reducing the incidence of HIV among African communities in England.
Aim
To become the primary body responsible for promoting a national response to the HIV prevention needs of Africans living in England and to facilitate continuous improvement in service quality & delivery.
Objectives
NAHIP embraces the objectives proposed by the African Framework for African HIV prevention work to:
Work in partnership at all levels to promote a comprehensive response to the HIV prevention needs of African communities in England.
Help reduce HIV-related stigma and discrimination.
Respond to the different HIV prevention needs of different African populations in England.
Facilitate continuous improvements to HIV prevention services through the work of its Research Partner, Sigma Research, and learning from on-going evaluation.
